Medical Marijuana card: Approved medical conditions in Florida

Medical Marijuana card Florida: Are you eligibile?

Medical Marijuana has been legal in Florida since the passage of an amendment in 2014. Patients need to have one or more qualifying medical conditions to be eligible. A Florida physician must certify and approve them before the state of Florida can issue them a Medical Marijuana card.

MMJ Registry Florida:

Certified patients are placed in an electronic registry with the state of Florida. There is a small fee of around 75$ paid to the state to issue you the MMJ Card.  Each patient is matched with his recommending physician in the registry. An order for the type of medical marijuana and the amount is placed in the registry by the physician.  The order is filled by a dispensary much like that of a pharmacy filling a prescription.

MMJ Dispensary:

Many patients mistake the physicians’ office as an MMJ Dispensary.  It is illegal for Physicians in Florida to sell Medical Marijuana. The patients have to contact a certified MMJ Dispensary in their area to process their orders.
